Halloween Safety Tips for Your Pup
Share
Halloween is full of fun treats and spooky sights, but it can be a little ruff on our furry friends. Here are a few simple ways to keep your dog safe and happy this Halloween:
🦴 Keep the candy out of reach.
Chocolate, xylitol (found in sugar-free sweets), and raisins can be toxic to dogs. Stick to dog-friendly treats only!
👻 Choose costumes wisely.
If your pup loves dressing up, make sure their costume fits comfortably and doesn’t restrict movement, vision, or breathing. Always supervise them while they’re in costume.
🚪 Watch the door.
With trick-or-treaters coming and going, it’s easy for curious pups to slip outside. Keep your dog secured in a quiet room or on a leash when greeting visitors.
💡 Light up the night.
If you’re out walking, use reflective gear or an LED collar so your dog stays visible in the dark.
🎶 Keep calm and carry treats.
Strange noises and costumes can be scary! Bring along your dog’s favorite snacks or toys for comfort and distraction.
Have a safe, tail-wagging Halloween! 🐶💛
